Hi Andy Whenever I have to go to a main dealer it's a nightmare, and that's just to get parts. May be the general public just accept it, but why should they? I had a car from a new customer today for its 36,000 service (Renault Megane 1.6 16v). He was amazed that I was going to pick-up the car from his home and deliver it back when finished. I only really had that job today and spent a good 5 hours on it because my bonus is a satisfied customer who will recommend me to his sensible friends and return himself. I have all the diagnostic kit I need to do service checks and a "proper" job. If I need some information or have a problem I know a few hundred other good blokes who I can ask and they're all interested in the profession AS a profession. Oh yes, and the car needed 3 wiper blades and it got them! Regards, Steve
