a true tale from my local fast fit a vw polo goes in for a noisey wheel bearing the n/s/f wheel bearing is replaced the car is road tested.. noise still there so o/s/f wheel bearing is replaced and road tested noise still there.. so new gearbox is fitted and road tested and yes noise still there .. so paddy hopkirk roof rack is removed and yes the noise is gone how do they explain that one to the customer ?
