There is software available to decode certain radios from the serial numbers but this provides you with only half a service.

You need a combination of tools (including the CDH kit) that allow you to unlock radios that have have used all their attempts up, or for radios that have had the original code changed.

Of course there are some radios that you have to remove the memory chips from the boards to read properly. It can become a full time job to offer this service properly. We only ever get the dififcult radios that can't be done by the serial method. Also a lot of the original radio deocders now change the code as a matter of course so that the software code calculators no longer work - helps keep them in business. Ebay isn't always a wonderful thing!
