hi we have just done two infiniti fx45 vehicles quite a lot of work to crack the rear light system 8 volt led system running on two wires. in the uk the normal answer is to hide away the LEDS and re-wire in normal bulbs and pick up new brake light switch and jump wires from front lights and indicators crap in my view. we traced the wires back to a processor tucked deep in the bowels of the rear of the vehicle. we cut the input indicator wires and ran these upto the reverse lamps. painted the bulbs orange and we have rear indicators. to trick the computors into thinking it still had indicators on the LEDS we traced the feed back wire and replicated the signal for when the LED indicators worked. we fitted side marker lamps in the front wings (look really good) we fitted new reverse lamp and fog lamp we designed an automatic load levelling device for the gas discharge headlamps plus fitted headlamp washers, fitted an illuminated fog lamp switch (cannot understand why the USA do not get fog in their climate!!) all of the above took hours and hours (next one will not as we have done the learning curve) a lot of the time was in choosing right side marker lamps - headlamp washer nozzles / pumps etc and designing the load levelling system (the manual one in the cockpit will not pass SVA) hope above helpsken hudson
