I was chatting to an Electrician today who was telling me about the new certification (cant remember the name of it) for anything more than very basic electrical repairs or instalations on your home. It would seem in his trade an electrician who is qualified to supply this certifate on completion of his work can charge three times what he does if he is not qualified, irrespective of how good the work is. Any work that does not carry a certificate requires an inpection from the local councils building regs department (which is not cheap). In the future, any work not having been certified may effect the value of your property. I think I have got that right, Andy Evans told me something about this a few months back, He may even have posted about it. Is this the sort of thing we need? Mike
