Hi All, The servicing work may be carried out by an indenpendent. The warantee work. i.e. repair faults with the vehicle is not covered by BE changes, thus it has to go back to a dealer for retification. Also, I am noticing that all this will become irrelevant if the manufacturers have their way. New freelanders have a 3 year free servicing package (dealer only to service). Mini used to have a 3 yr servcing contract for £99, now EIGHT years for £399. New Range Rover, 3 years servicing for £400. all of these have to be taken back to the dealer, & not a mention in the BE regulations. Any idea where we stand? Or will all manufacturers lock us out for up to eight years??? Regards Steve
