    Hello Ken.

I hope all is well on your lovely island.

From having experienced scissor lifts which we bought for our training school, both my colleague and I had the same comments to make about them.

the lock down mechanism and procedure is an inconvenience.. they both (we have two)sometimes miss the locking slot and you tend to have to go back up and try again.

Although we have not yet come across a vehicle that does not fit on them but as it is a platform type lift with exposed wheel access, it doesn't leave you a great deal of room to work around the trailing side of the suspension and wheel, whereas the 2 posters give you pretty much 360 degree access. Would your Smart fit on it for example? (if you still have it ?)

The working area between the two platforms is much narrower than on a two post lift.

At the end of the day.. it depends on how much room you have, but personally I prefer two posters over scissor type.

Ken.. Our van is over Guernsey and Jersey next week and the week after... fancy a visit? I'll let him know.

    Kind regards
