Automotive Trade Shows - one too many

I know this subject has been on here before, but its just frustrating that our aftermarket industry just does not seem to be able to get along with each other

This is in reference to Mechanex 2005 at the beginning of April and then the ATS a month later? and both with short distance of each other.....whats going on?

Looking down the list, many big players will be at one, and not the other, so in actual fact there will be 2 half shows.....this means two long trips from Crawley to the Midlands within a few weeks to see ALL the suppliers

I am baffled as to why we cannot just have one decent BIG show every year. Is it aftermarket infighting?, or the big players not wanting to appear along side each other?

If the people behind the Motor / Boat / Homes / Computer Gaming / Hairdressing shows can put on big events, why not the Automotive Aftermarket....... without vans and lorries to boost attendance figures

The Motor Trade is one of the biggest industries in this country, but struggles to represent itself with a decent Expo. Perhaps some of our Sponsoring Companies could throw some light on it
