Well, That's fairly close Phil ( 5 out of 10 ). The Light comes on when the key is turned on, regardless of the float switch or handbrake switch. In the past, I would have assumed that if the light stayed on untill the engine started, it would be linked into the Alternator light or oil light, But not with these foreigners, they have got to go and make it a bit more complicated, They have linked it to guess what. Yeah the rev counter, On this car the rev counter wouldn't work, so after bodging around the fault on the rev counter, The Handbrake warning light also went out. . We could have been looking for the fault on the handrake light for day's if we hadn't fixed the rev counter first. But the next Question is, :- What was wrong with the rev counter. ?? Fuses ok, wiring ok, dash ok, inductive Sender unit ok, ??
