Hi Everybody, My company fitted an engine into a 2002 Polo towed into us by the AA. We are near Manchester airport and the customer lives on the Isle of Wight and as we did not want any warranty issues decided to fit a genuine engine supplied by our local dealer. Customer drives from our garage to Portsmouth where engine self destructs due to rear cam wheel breakage. As our company is not a VW dealer the VW dealer in Portsmouth has said that the labour element in fitting yet another engine is not down to VW but to the customer or ourselves! Basically can they do this? It is not our fault that the engine only lasted 300 odd miles. BTW it was a full engine and was even filled with oil. All comments welcome. Mike
