"he wants a one stop shop", this is true enough from the customers point of view but in the future is he going to get it? Only for the lucky independants who can be big enough to employ all the specialists required (mechanics, diagnosticians, air-con, airbag, abs specialists...)We are all learning about the modern cars, the customer is going to have to learn too! Perhaps we have to take "ownership" of the customers problem, do the bit we can do and sub the rest to a trusted specialist. It works quite well for me, I do the diagnostic work and if the mechanical side gets a bit heavy for me I have several garages who will deal with it. Likewise they take a first look at their job and pass it to me if they think it's getting a bit to electrical/diagnostical. I just hope to be big enough one day to employ a mechanic (two more electricians and one mechanic would suit me fine). Shaun
