fake bank e-mail

to all,had today a e-mail from a fake barclays bank all looked very real,asking for log in details for on line banking. this is a total scam,have informed bank so all beware and dont give details to any body on line or on phone Dave Cogan

Hello dave,
also watch out for HSBC,Paypal,who's who(or similar) & other spoof e mails.I've been getting them for months,I should find the time to reload a spam killer .
I had an e mail from the Who's who one (or whatever it was),then they telephoned me & kept me on the phone for ages trying to convince me to part with some money so that I could be listed in some special Who's Who directory, where other specialist people used each others services, (needless to say i didn't part with any money though)

Hi Dave,

I have been getting these things for years very authentic looking too these include:

LloydsTSB
HSBC
Halifax
Nationwide
Natwest
RBS

To name a few, all are instantly deleted.

the other one I got yetserday was the virus hoax "Olympic Torch". If ya get that one don't forward it just delete it with all the other email Cr*p that is flying around these days.

How did they keep you on the 'phone Andrew?

You are too polite; I just hang up on them once I've explained that I mean "NO"!

you can also add these to your list
fake ebay emails
fake paypal emails
and a bloke from america on the phone that wants
to get you to put money in an investment portfolio

I've had that one.

Also, what about those publishing firms that pretend they're the police to get you advertising in a diary that no coppers have ever heard of!
