Waste Oil collection charges/costs

After seeing the post on tyres... I'd be interested in knowing what people are paying for their waste oil collections.
Too, can anyone recommend a company for same in N Wales / N West that are good - and you guessed it - cheap !!

My waste oil collection used to be free until a few weeks ago, now it’s £20 (Doesn’t matter how much you have) + the enviro admin charge.

i'm not in your area so can't recommend anyone, sorry

also not in your area but we are paying a company out of london £ 40.00 inc !
went up to this due to amount of paperwork now involved ! makes you laugh i suppose the sunday mechanics still use the street drain !

Mike, We find striking a deal with your oil supplier to take it away FOC always works for us.
We are currently using Renault and find that provided you use them solely for oil, they are more than happy to accommodate.

I mean, if you are purchasing £2000 upwards a year on oil, if they want the business why shouldn't they show some loyalty back.

We`ve done this with all our oil suppliers over the last 25 years and never once paid for oil disposal.

Get grilling those reps people!

Same here as Russells deal.

Also the same deal for the batteries, oil filters, and tyres , collected free of charge by the suppliers. Ask your supplier for a deal or go someore else. Harsh I know but every little helps.

Hi .. some good ideas there...thanks very much. Also shows how arround the country prices can vary wildely!..
The trouble with me is I tend to keep an eye on oil prices and go wherever I get the best deal.. ppl... but of course, whats been said may mean thats false economy....
I'll start making enquires - let you know if I come up with anything outstanding

I think you will find they are mostly all charging now, ours used to collect free (ECO-OIL), but now pass on the government charges to us.

we always used to have our oil collected foc, but now are on a monthly contract with OSS Group (07802 401055) for which we pay a fixed fee, and that covers all our waste, oil, filters, batteries, antifreeze etc. possibly a bit more expensive, but a lot less hassle, and at least we know we've covered ourselves.
