MOT fees

Has anyone got details on the proposed MOT fee increase which normally happpens 1st Aug.

I have read a proposal to add a £3.00 tax to help run VOSA, which will be collected by testing stations, with the testing stations paying the tax up front in the purchase of MOT test slots.

Hi Graham
Heard nothing definite,suspect price will go up.
what worries me is talk of tariff type re-testing,just re-testing the failed items and charging a reduced fee, just when starting to make some money after all these years of doing free retests.(since computerization we have charged full fee for retest)Also emissions should not be free partial re-examination as these can take awhile to do.
Hopefully will know soon,then i can have another moan.
