brake tester single phase only

having mot bay installed v/soon need any info on said item. some say tecalmit?. what do you think.

have you priced having 3 phase fitted, good long term investment i think. you will be very limited on single phase kit (lifts rollers tyre changers etc) and if you can get it it will be more expensive and often slower in operation.

have not contacted pwr comp. however sparky pal said it would be poss to install 3ph converter!.

was told by somebody else, that it may prove unreliable, used on brake tester.

sparky pal said just a question of phasing!!!.

as long as he new what the inputs to the motors were? (i think).

already have a couple of lifts and tyre machines.
no probs so far.

cost to install 3ph cnv £800 app
cost save on 3ph brke tstr £1000 app
as against a single phase.

still in the dark

Your sparky should no best, but you will need a good size converter to run a brake tester, high start current required + must be able to run both rollers together for MOT. I would check price on 3 phase installation, so you can make an informed decision

we put 3 phase in 30 yrs ago, money well spent
