Hi all, I decided to start the on line test last night but gave up after the first two questions. I have been in contact with the organisers and they have re-worded these questions and told me that anyone who has already taken the test will have a chance to re-take it. Regards, Bryan.

Dear UK Autotalk readers,
It has been bought to our attention by Bryan Smith that the first two questions in the initial online assessment for Top Technician 2009 were ambiguously worded.
While this has not been a problem for the vast majority of competition entrants so far, Top Technician prides itself on giving every technician a fair and equal chance of proving their skills and knowledge.
As a result, we have changed the wording of these questions and we will give any entrants who have already taken the online test the chance to retake it. All previous entrants for the 2009 contest will be notified of this.
Top Technician would like to apologise to any technicians who found the wording of the first two questions confusing.
The problem arose because of discrepancies in technical information between certain vehicle manufacturers and system manufacturers.
For those that have not yet taken the test, Top Technician 2009 will continue as usual. The changes have already been made and the revised test is now live at www.toptechnician.co.uk.
We wish everyone that takes part every success and look forward to the continued success of Top Technician as a means of rewarding the most skilled and professional members of our industry.
Remember, not only is there the prestigious title of Top Technician 2009 up for grabs but also a £10,500 prize fund for the winner.
