Vosa AE Course - Has anyone done this course? #

Hi all

With changes at our business I'm doing an AE (Authorised Examiners MOT) course shortly. I've looked through the course notes and it looks purely admin, however I'd like to hear from anyone who has done the course in case there's anything to watch out for or useful tips to help make it an easier 2 days.

John,
I'm assuming that you've run a garage and farmed out mot's in the past. If that's the case you'll have no problem as the course is very thorough and doesn't really throw up any surprises. We found VOSA very helpful when we were setting up and it's been great for business.

Hi Richard

Thanks for your reply. We've been an MOT testing station for 30 odd years but the garage/testing station ownership status has changed and the AE has to be changed. There's two of us talking the course as AEs one as sole trader and one as delegate.

It actually looks quite interesting

but it always best to know if there's anything hidden.
