do work for hitachi had a couple of jobs for master lease and a couple for tvm but thats about it do get quite alot off hitachi capital but after reading another post one guy has 3 or 4 services a day how do i get in touch with other companys using 1link to make them aware of my services.

any help would be be gratefull

We used to do work for 1Link may moons ago, until they once tried to tell us what to charge. Are they still the same.

We have joined 1link 3 months ago with info being given by their customer service rep when we did actually enquire.
3 months on and not 1 vehicle!
We have sent out contact letters to all fleet managers and emailed them to look at our site.....

Still no work...how do we break into this area guys???

Firstly I would ask 1Link for all the companies in your area that use them. Then go see the Transport Managers and persuade him that you are the best thing since sliced bread. We used to offer a discount for there staff.

But when 1Link came on to me saying that thay only paid this amount for that etc, I soon told them what to do. I don't know what they are like now?

hi guys

simon get in touch with 1link and get the details for the companys around you area that use it and like keith said you have to go and sell yourself to them and get your status changed from approved to preffered because if you are only approved you will only get jobs when the prefferd garages decline bookings (which i think wouldnt be very often). i currently am getting quite a few jobs through 1link had 4 this week and have 5 booked for next but these are through a third party so i do pay commision per job but it is not a great amount. i am going to be getting in touch with a few leasing company on friday to try and get them to change my garage to preffered without having a middle man if i have any joy will post details.

hi all have progress if you get in touch with 1link and get the telephone numbers for the leasing compnys that use the platform and all you have to do is call them explain your service to them and ask if it is something they would be interested in. a few companys have sent me the forms through to fill out to change my company to preffered but please read these carefully as one of the companys nearly wanted everything for free and sounded a bit of a con but the others are o.k. one company called fleet assist seem to organise servicing for lots of other companys and have requeted a compny portfolio whic i am currently doing for them and i believe if i can get a bit of work off these people i will be fairly busy through 1link as i already do british gas, hitachi capital and lloyds tsb.

hope this helps anyone on 1link.
