Autologic - Software uplifts #

Good evening,We are fortunate to own a Autologic platform as many members on this forum do,my question is concerning what to charge for software uplifts on a BMW,specifically for say latest factory software for dme module.
I always find it difficult to structure costs on this particular task as an independant.
Would welcome any advice on this subject.

Hi Trevor,

I usually charge 1 hr for a reflash of one controller and 2 hrs for 2 or more including full CIP although I think I should be looking at more like three hrs for CIP.

ps a lot of customers think this service should be free from the agents!

Hi Micheal,
I'm not up on bmw but how long does it take to do a full re flash on all ecu's ? . My local dealer told me they try to do them over night and have a night watch man to keep an eye on the vehicle and click on the proceed button as & when required .So how much does a dealer charge for the service ?

Like Michael I think rhree hours is near the mark, You have to think about the cost of Autologic, cost of very expensive power supply which you must have for programming and the potential for disaster whilst programming!!.
Our local dealer wants £200 for updating.
