Waste oil #

Hi

Just wondering if anyone uses OSS group for waste oil collection as they seem to have a good deal on, free oil collection and bin for oil filters removed FOC when full, and premises code paid for,a minimum amount of annual waste oil produced may have to be met,12 month rolling contract, just thought I'd check first before signing up

Hi Steven, we use safety clean. They supply a Brake cleaning machine, Parts washer, Drum for Waste oil filters, Mixed fuel, Antifreeze, Brake fluid, Batteries, £75 per month. I know it might not suite every one, It used to cost me £42 per full drum of oil filters every month.

Have used them for 18 months,no catch with them, free oil collection and filter collection. they will leave you 2 oil filter bins instead of just the one if you ask them.

I just had a bloke from OSS visit yesterday and offered free collection but no mention of contract or minimum amounts.

Are you syaing get the filters collected free of charge ?i have used OSS for 15 years. Only last year i got free oil collections becasue i am a member of R.M.I.F.and read it in one of the member magazines.If i had'nt seen it i do'nt think they would have told me. I pay about £150
every time they take a wheelie bin full of them.
On top of that i pay for Brake Fluid & Anti-freeze collections in 209 ltr barrels

Hi phil. they have taken 1200 litres of oil off us foc and 2 oil filter bins recently for nothing also,weather they start charging later on down the line with us i dont know but havent paid them anything yet. they supply us with 2 wheely bins for the oil filters and collect our waist oil out of our 600 litre tank.

Do you also use them for your Anti-freeze and Brake Fluid waste? i have been paying £142.77 to have the oil filters taken and £111.80 for the Anti-Freeze.Only justfilled the Brake Fluid to the brim(209 lts Barrel same as the Anti-freeze) I am due to phone them for all three and not happy that i will have to pay. Any Reps Names, promo titles for the service/contract they gave you would be good amo for me.Did they specify Minimum quantities per annum for the deal. All i get is free oil collection & 15% on filters/fluids because i am an R.M.I.member which only showed up in one magazine issue.Had i not read it i would never have known.Feedback from all concerned will be greatly appreciated.

If you produce waste oil, we want it. We can can pay for it. OSS operate a national service, have the largest waste oil collection fleet in the UK.

Well apparently not as they want £85 to collect it now with a minimum spend of £187 a year £10 for consignment note, £67.50 transport charge and £16 for oil filter bin which used to be free if you gave them the oil.

I use Oakwood Environmental

I have 209 litre type drums for oil filters, waste coolant and waste brake fluid.

They leave me alone and I let them know when I need a collection.

As they also collect my waste oil I haven't been charged for these collections for a couple of years now. Some companies will pay for waste oil, but then I will be charged for collecting my hazardous waste.

Although with the price of new oil coming crashing down I suspect the value of waste oil will come down and that means I will be charged next time round.

With Oakwood there is no contract signed or ongoing commitment, its a phone call when you need them.
