Letter are still going straight in the bin as they have for the last 2 years!! money grabbing tossers!! ggrrrrrr every body wants a bit of your very hard earned cash nowadays!! Council came around to "INSPECT" our waste oil burner last week,i usually get a warning and get the lads to give it a good clean etc this time it was filthy dirty oil drums around it etc, guy in a suit walked in said yes that looks fine now we just need a cheque for £169. i want his job!

It looks like its going to get a lot worse, I had a letter from our local council saying DEFRA are planing on banning waste oil burners in England this year.

Â£169 will will be of little significance compared with cost of heating oil, worst thing is being currently licensed and legal will make it easy to enforce.

Would DEFRA consider this to be a "Waste Oil Burner" ?

Or is it better not to ask!
