The Final Two are announced
Five talented technicians took part in the Top Technician Finals at Fiat Unetversity on Friday April 24, battling it out for the coveted Top Technician 2015 title, the prize fund and opportunities that come with it.
James Etherington of VDS Performance in Surrey, Andrew Gravel of ADG Autotech in Scunthorpe, Peter Melville of Oscillotech Vehicle Services in Tonbridge, Anthony Pickering of CBF Service Centre in Suffolk and Nigel Yardley of Yardley's Vehicle Repair & Test Centre in Sutton in Ashfield, undertook five, 50-minute tasks which were set by an expert team of industry experts and previous winners and finalists.
They faced various scenarios including non-starts on an Abarth 595, Fiat Qubo and Chrysler 300C as well as a suspension fault on a Ducato van and an oscilloscope task on a KA engine rig.
Congratulations to the highest-scoring two technicians – Andrew Gravel of ADG Autotech in Scunthorpe & Peter Melville of Oscillotech Vehicle Services in Tonbridge.
Awards Ceremony
The winner of Top Technician 2015 will be announced at Top Technician Live, also hosted by Fiat Unetversity, on Friday May 22nd – a day full of diagnostic and system training in the workshop from repair experts such as James Dillon and Frank Massey. The day will also provide business advice, debate and the chance to win a rally driving experience.
