Hi All
Just flicking through the January 2019 Professional Motor Mechanic magazine and there is a double page spread advertising the Mechanex Show for 2019
"The UK's only regional tradeshow"
The only date for 2019 is Sandown Park 12th & 13th November 2019
Is this the only one for 2019? it does say regional but not to sure if Esher in Surrey is regional to the workshops in the Midlands and above
Have trade shows peaked? I know we now have the Automechanika at the NEC in Birmingham in June over 3 days but for many like myself to try and do this in one day via the M25 is not very inspiring as you really need a couple of days to get around such a vast show, if you live in the Midlands that's fine
Many of us do rely on the smaller regional shows to see what is on offer in our Industry, latest tools, gadgets and seminars. Having just attended the last Sandown show in November I must admit it was not that inspiring, less relevant exhibitors, not much on the stands and certainly top brand names and factors missing (there were a few regular diagnostic and tool companies that always come through with good stands)
Is it about time Automechanika came South to London Excel Centre or up to Edinburgh for a change, rotate the regions every 3 years so we can take a more leisurely day out
