We are finding quite a number of people are having problems of these cars intermittently (or eventually permenantly) non-starting due to the critical nature of the relative timing offset of the Cam & Crankshaft signals when the timing chain 'stretches'.
We are trying to define a set of limits for this error which will allow the vehicle to start or not-start and to see if anything can be done with the ECUs to make them 'less fussy'. If anyone has any scope patterns of measurements on thes cars ,I would be grateful if someone could publish them. Thanks all you helpful techies out there.
