This has just come into us with a p0015 fault code, on KTS it shows up as 104 Outlet camshaft displacement not in range and 106 outlet camshaft displacement stop not reached.
No unusual rattles from chain or vanos and scope test shows cam sensor working OK. Actual values show exhaust cam at -15 degrees CA and it should be around +15 i believe.
At first I suspect the vanos actuator , but have just found out it has recently had the head off at another garage so I'm inclined to feel the timing may be out.

Having never played with the chains on these, can anyone offer any pearls of wisdom that may assist ?
