Hi lads, was hoping for some pointers with a car I have in at the momrnt.
Vehicle is a Suzuki Wagon R+ which the customer says would not start shortly after stopping after a 200 mile drive. Called AA who could not find a fault so recovered to my workshop.
When I switch on ignition no eml, main relay powers up but no fuel pump relay. Crank engine and main relay stays on but still no fuel pump relay. With ignition on I have all powers and earths at ecu and 5volts to sensors.
I have tried to get into engine management using snap on solus, acr4 and another eobd scanner, but no comms. I have however been able to read immobiliser using op-com and got the following-
B3040 communication malfunction on W line
B3059 no engine request received
I have checked all wiring to immobiliser control module, mdule to instrument pack, module to engine ecu and engine ecu to instrument pack with no faults found.
Im beginning to think I have a faulty engine ecu but was wondering why I cant get comms with it and would an ecu fault give the above immob. codes? I have a scope so could check immob. signal at ecu plug but dont know what to expect to see on that wire.
I might add that the info I have been using is all from genuine Suzuki w/shop manual.
