Got this vehicle that is stalling, and cutting out when on the road. When it does the only code logged is "No vehicle speed signal", but the speedo works perfectly throughout. Live data shows no speed in engine ecu.
I have used autodata wiring diagram which shows wire from speedo transmitter into under bonnet fusebox (BM34), then out to engine ecu. Have checed wiring and all ok.
The strange thing is I have no switching signal on the scope either into the f/box or down to the ecu, but like i say the speedo works fine. The wire just shows around 11volts. Could it be the Speed sensor is faulty, and the speedo works off the abs signal from the wheels?
Any experience of this will be helpful.
