Year of Manufacture *: 2006 Engine Code or Type *: 182B6.000 ( Optional ) ECU Type: Weber Marelli ( Optional ) Scanner used: X431
This Multipla 1.6 16 valve has one code stored "P0170 fuel trim malfunction bank 1" and the CO level is high but only at idle with a reading varying between 4% and as much as 10%, with of course the lambda sensor sticking at .9 volts however if you take the revs above about 1300 from then on it is perfect, CO drops to normal levels and O2 sensor switches well( I had a new lambda sensor in stock and tried it with no difference). MAP sensor voltage is good at 1.1 at idle, all other sensor readings are as would be expected and disconnecting the carbon canister made no difference. I am wondering if there could be an injector fault as sometimes he even gets it running on, although all injector resistances are at 17 ohms, though I do know there are imjector issues on this engine.. He has had trouble with this car on and off since new but also of late wgen he starts from cold it flares to about 1500 rpm, seems unresponsive to the throttle then stalls. Had a look in the archives and do not see much about this model, thanks, Jim.
