Hi all, here's the fix for this one.


Dealer updated software original s/w no. 000 5697
new s/w no. 000 9265

We were told to replace the in-tank pump as there were issues with the type fitted to this car [I had already swapped the unit with one from another car]

Here are the problem pump unit part nos.

Touran 1T0919051 A or C replace with 1T0919051 F

Golf 1K0919051 N or A replace with 1K0919051 BE

We were also informed that the software update and pump unit replacement must both be done with regards to the code 16575.

Technical background. Because of insufficient degassing, gas can be locked in the fuel pump. This leads to an unstable supply of the fuelpump or to a hydraulic problem in the low pressure fuel system and thus to an insufficient pressure build-up in the high pressure fuel system.

Here are the measuring blocks that need to be checked.
