Ford Galaxy 2.8 v6 AYL engine code. 67000 miles.

Hi all. We have had in a ford galaxy 2.8 v6 (vr6 engine) the vehicle has got and misfire/loss of power when in 2nd and 3rd gears on moderate and hard acceleration. The momentary loose of power feels like maybe a complete loss of ignition it’s quite a violent loss of power and the customer is keen to get the vehicle fixed.

According to the customer the fault has been present for a while and has not got any worse or better since a full set of ignition coils and spark plugs where fitted. I have code read and check all the live data and there is nothing present. No codes and all live data looks good.

There is what I think a secondary fault of a slight engine misfire / unevenness if the revs are held at 1100 to 1300 rpm. I have read elsewhere on autotalk about this unevenness possibly being down to a sticky valve tappets. But unless the two faults are related the customer is really wants the miss sorted.
