hi i have had a few vauxhall that have lost the 5v reference feed off the pedal find a wiring diagram and see if the pedal has 2x 5v supplies if it has lost one (ECU) a get around is to common both 5v feeds together but if a problem occurs the car will stop instead of going in to limp
