First You need to check for ECU updates on this, before replacing the EGR valve. For some engine codes a Software updates eliminates the EGR and blanking gasket is fitted to prevent any leakage.
Hopefully some one on hear will know if this applies to your engine code, other wise speak to dealer of Vauxhall tech.
