Well, I sent in my auto-electrician man this morning and it transpires that the ECU is either faulty or the immo is still active. So it appears that the garage has had their trousers pulled down on this one. Been a bit of a waste of my time then....oh well, swings and roundabouts. Glad to see the back of it nonetheless.
