ahhhhh, This sounds like the same system as the old corsa's, ?? Have they messed about with the throttle cable and adjusted it too tight. ??? If they have, The lever wont return fully and fails to press the switch on the end of the stepper motor plunger, which will cause it to surge and stall.

We used to replace lots of these stepper motors and we did have a couple of occasions where the ecu was also faulty on that circuit.


There are also some Fake stepper motors available for these which aren't as good as the originals.
