Year of Manufacture *: 2006 (Late)
Engine Size and Code *: 2.2 (3FY)
( Optional ) Scanner Used: DEC Superscan
We removed ABS connector and checked wiring from ABS to engine control units both electrically and visually looking at all of it, checked power supplies best possible against wiring diagrams on A/D and peugeot but nothing showing up, rebuilt to find it wont start
Retraced all steps and found nothing wrong - no communication with engine and no power to fuse 10 in underbonnet fuse box.
Wiring checks are as follows:
Engine connector from underbonnet fuse box -
L4 - +ve when ignition on or network awake
K3 - no wire in connector
L1,L2,M1 - all good earths
M2,M3 No power from fuse 10 and fuse 10 not live
Scoped the can wires frm BSI to ABS and all ok
Scoped CAN wires from ABS to Engine - Nothing
According to A/D - all on same network but if you look at peugeot wiring it shows ABS/BSI on a network and ABS/Engne is a seperate network.
Autodata confirmed that this is a late 06 model that is not covered by their system (Helpfull).
MY questions are as follows to all my fellow tech's:
1/ Do you think we have a network issue with the ABS/TCS module ?
2/ Would this cause a misfire ?
3/ What should you expect on wires A3,B3,F3 from underbonnet fuse box to engine ?
4/ What wakes up underbonnet fuse box to allow fuse 10 to be powered
5/ Is the engine control awakened by the network when ready
6/ Why wont it crank ? (bsi seeing starter signal and fuse 8 ok under bonnet) - BSi has no stored faults but live data showing engine control blocked as it would be if not awake ??)
also when ABS was unplugged before wiring checks it would not crank or start and does not now it is rebuilt.
Any help gratefully recieved ?
