Hi guys
Got a Mercedes c180k came to me last week with a p2058 and p201c or in the eobd side p0170 p0171 relating to fuel trim the car has been to a few garages that have fitted both oxygen sensors which i'm told are(NGK)NTK, a non genuine cat and a non genuine air mass meter after a chat with the customer he agreed to change the air mass for a Siemens unit then let me have a look .
so far I cant find any air leaks with the smoke pro and fuel pressure is around 4 bar which is ok according to autodata, air mass trace is good and lambda sensors react to changes in mixture.
I found the one way valve under the inlet that's common for failing and this one had, new one fitted job fixed I thought but no light back on after a few test drives
I have checked the cam position actuators for leaking oil after searching on here and they are slightly but there is no oil getting to the o2 sensors or ecu multi plug so don't think its this or could I be wrong?
could the adaptions need resetting the car has done about 200 miles since I fitted the breather valve would this be expected to adapt by now or does it have to be reset I have a snap on modis that gives me an option to reset sensor adaptions but I have no confidence that it actually does it being snap on can anyone answer these questions or shed any light my way thanks lee
