Hi

This vehicle will intermittently start and run rough. No relevant DTCs. You can switch off the Ign and restart and it will run fine then repeat and it can run bad again.

Oil and filter changed after a flush.

New spark plugs even though its only done 54000km

Checked fuel pressure and flow
Checked for Cat blockage
Checked cam and crank signals using pico scope. When the engine is running rough the inlet cam VVT is being activated. Checked wiring which was ok. Re flashed engine PCM with latest software.

Just to be sure rocker cover was pulled off to check VVT solenoids and cam chain and timing. Inlet VVT solenoid has already been replaced before we got it, so this fault must have been apparent before this car was purchased by the dealer, with no history.

Has anyone had an issue like this?
