We have this Corsa with a long cranking time [about 10 seconds]
DTC P0400 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Excessive.
The valve was removed and was found to be stuck open, a new quenuine unit was fitted.
The PCM has sometime in the past been repaired/replaced, but it was before this customer owned this car, but, the software was the wrong one for this cylinder head. This car has the later cylinder head and we reflashed the PCM with the correct software from TIS2WEB.
We found the pipe from the rocker cover to the throttle body was blocked at the body, this was cleaned and now is clear.
We smoke tested the intake and all was well
Fuel pressure is 55psi and flow is good.
Battery voltage and current, cranking and running, is good.
PCM, coil, and injectors have correct voltage and earth, cranking and running
If I blank the EGR the car starts well every time. My question is, does this engine require the EGR to be blanked when up to date software is programmed? I have read about other engines but not this one, and I dont want to just patch this car up just to get it out the door unless it is the correct thing to do.
