Year of Manufacture *: 2010
Engine Size and Code *: 1200 A12XER
( Optional) Fault Codes: P0016, P0017
Head gasket now sorted, but keep getting P0016 & P0017 codes. This appears to relate to camshaft timing on the exhaust cam. Also lacking in power. But apparently it has always lacked power - the customer just thought that's how these were and the EML has been on for quite a while.
I have taken the covers off again & double checked the timing with the pin and bar set which all lines up good.
Swapped the sensors and actuators from the exhaust cams to the inlet cam and the code doesn't move.
I have scoped the crankshaft and camshaft sensors and the patterns look like good waveforms.
Trouble is I don't know how the patterns should line up with each other.
The cylinder head looks like it has been removed previously. Would a skim move the cam timing enough to create timing issues?
Can the sensor plate get knocked out of postion?
Can anybody let me have a crank/cams waveform?
Thanks in anticipation
Nick
