System uses 2 pumps in parallel, 2nd pump switched on by EKP module under high load, fuel pressure varies between 3-6 bar depending on load and there is a pressure sensor around the n/s front wheel area.Very sophisticated system and I don't think tied in with your throttle problem, possibly 2nd pump not being switched on and system maxing out under 1 pump operation.
