Speedo/Speed sensor fault. Intermittent fault with speedo and sometimes engine coolant temperature gauge. Seems to only occur when moving or with wheels off ground.In neutral sometimes when eng: is revved speedo will flick all over the dial and MIL lamp lights ( wheels up ). Fault does not occur with wheels on ground and vehicle is static, when being driven will be OK for a while then speedo goes haywire temp: gauge seems to fail and MIL lamp comes on ( why should speed sensor fault affect temp: gauge ? ). Have done basic diagnostics and also checked archives for known faults. Found poor engine and battery earth conns: and rectified those. Snappy scan shows "code 14 speed sensor circuit" . Have checked sensor conns: and local harness and can't see anything obvious.When engine starts MIL goes out every time. Cant find any data for testing speed sensor ohms, volts Etc. Any help or ideas greatly appreciated. Colin
