Thank you Tony and Derek for your replies,I will pass your comments on to the garage, Tony I had a similar fault on an Escort that would start instantly with a push but would not go if cranked on the starter,and Derek I have got Esi-tronic but have only had KTS for about 2 weeks and am still trying to get to grips with it,live data is shown in KG/H and actual value figures are shown in MG/H this is where I got confused.
Once again thank you for your replies and I will let you know if the starter motor cures this fault.
