This has been covered in the archives before. The cam-sensor signal is not a square wave but a modulated RF (high frequency) signal. It is difficult to test the quality of this signal using normal automotive type oscilloscopes it requires a digital scope with very high sampling rates to correctly interpret the signal. This fault code is often produced when there is a timing error between the cam and crank signals or there is backlash in the system. It is usually neccesary to replace the tensioner whenever a belt is replaced for example.
