evening all, this vehicle came in with a lack of power. fault code 17964 {P1556}turbo pressure control, control limit below minimal level was listed in ecu. esi disc shows this as having a vaccuum operated wastegate when in fact it is a pressure controlled gate via a solenoid valve.
actual boost pressure is always below desired boost pressure. all live data looks ok elsewhere. new air mass fitted, all rubber pipes operating wastegate replaced, turbo removed and tested ok. the only thing "off" i can find on live data is the start of injection values. min is 38, max is 67, actual fluctuates between 33 and 37. the pump timing is obviously slightly out but is it affecting the fueling enough to cause a low turbo pressure fault????
am at my wits end with this van?shed any help would be greatly welcome as usual. cheers jez (on second scotch allready)
