Renault Clio II 1600cc 8v K7M 745 Fenix 5.0 - Runs badly after a battery change Archived Message

    Good evening all.
Just wondered If I could run this one past you all? Customer had vehicle towed to us on Monday AM after battery failure at the weekend. Fitted new battery, but Indicator lamps flash periodically! Went to start vehicle and runs terrible. Checked ECU for codes, Codes 300 and 400 ECU memory lost?? Here is the situation so far: Lambda sensor is pegged constantly LEAN: Tried substitute Lambda sensor, Lambda heater supply & Ground are good, Checked Fuel Pressure and Flow, Substituted MAP sensor, Checked for Air Leaks, Checked for CAT blockage, Checked Plugs, Checked Vacuum, Checked for Petrol and not Diesel in the tank, Checked all Earths and Visible Wiring etc, checked Temp II switch, etc. If I spray intake cleaner in the intake, the lambda responds perfect and the engine runs sweet! This vehicle is so lean that it gets red-hot in minutes!! If I simulate normal Lambda Sensor operation, The ECU makes no adjustment to Injector Pulse Width and the vehicle runs terrible still!!! The customer says that it was perfect before the battery incident, but I think he has reversed jump leads and caused an 'ECU Spike' situation! of course he denies all knowledge!
Many thanks, and very sorry for the long post, but I'm looking for a new angle or something that I may have missed! Or is there a way of re-adapting these ECU's after a battery failure, as the indicators still flash periodically???
    Many Thanks In Advance,
    Gunner.
