    Hi Ray, I did one of these the other day, doing just the same as yours. It could be either motor, there are two. One power valve motor and the balance valve motor. The fault on mine was the motor on the o/s of the inlet manifold, four screws hold the motor on, inside is a plastic butterfly valve with a plastic square drive to the motor all in a plastic housing. The square drive had sheared off, hence the motor does not sense the end of travel which I assume it does by current loading. If I held the motor shaft it stopped but otherwise it ran for five minutes. It was an old high mileage motor so I just removed the whole valve assembly, re-fit motor to seal manifold and left the motor disconnected and all was Ok. Customer wouldn't pay for new bits.
