tried using ad through renault,no comms at all. Wilbert you were spot on!! just got home now, vehicle had a new fan belt on recently,the old part must have worked its way into timing cover (though its not there now) the camshaft key had sheered as mentioned,valve timing was spot on,but i presume the ecu has to see cam and crank signals somewhere near each other to spring to life. i thank you guys for all the help and hope to help some1 in the future. Ever had one of those weeks where you seem to work your ass off,go backwards and dont make any money!! aaaaaahhhhhhhh thnx again
