The original request for info was made AFTER a new OE O2 sensor had been installed and ground & signal integrity confirmed & all else had been exhausted(no pun). The answer was found in these Archives: The Emission lamp has to be cleared thro' the EOBD menu. Re-visited the car today and cleared the Emission MIL succesfully. Thanks to all, regards, Stuart.
