dti engines have a problem with the seals on top of the injectors, they use a small circular part rubber, part metal seal, when the car has done a few miles these seals harden and allow the fuel toleak back from the injectors. the easy way to check if this is the case is to take the top off the fuel filter housing, you can see an oily film floating on top of the diesel, the cam has to be removed to replace these seals, its a fiddle but when youve done one or two it gets easier, you can also check by using a mityvac on the leak off pipe to see if it will maintain a vacuum, the slightest air leak will stop these engines starting, HTH martin, any more info on the job please email me.
