I have this Renault Megan in with a cold runing problem,
it has a running misfire when cold
when it is hot it will run for 5 seconds then start to knock and cut out
i have scoped the camshaft actuator and on initial startup there is no signal then after 2 seconds a digital square wave appears and starts reducing in duty cycle
(this is it altering the actuator which controls oil pressure to the exhaust camwheel)
variable valve timing:????
Contacting Renault they say the exhaust camshaft wheel is called a phase adjuster and this is the fault has anyone changed this, as i think there is no timing marks when the belt is removed and the cam is not doweled
